The unit’s building features many study spaces, is next-door to the Verano Community Center with plenty of activities and spaces to work, and is only a five-minute walk to the Anteater Recreation Center, a grocery store, coffee, and restaurants. Main UCI campus (Ring Road) is just a 10-minute walk away.

Location & community amenities

This unit is located within Verano Place Graduate & Family Housing on UCI campus in Verano 8/Verano Towers. The building features many air-conditioned study spaces for both large groups and individuals, outdoor seating and barbecues, and plenty of laundry units in great condition. The unit is next-door to the Verano Community Center, which features individual and group study spaces, reservable event spaces, music practice rooms, and frequent community events (e.g. free yoga classes). The unit is also next-door to a basketball court and spacious dog park. It’s a quick 10-minute walk (or even shorter bike/scooter ride) to the heart of UCI campus. In just a 5-minute walk, you’ll find the Anteater Recreation Center (gym) and a retail space including an Albertsons grocery store, coffee, restaurants, and more. You’re only a 15-minute walk from University Center, including even more grocery stores, restaurants, and a movie theater. If you like getting outdoors, the unit is just a 15-minute walk away from William R. Mason Regional Park and 20 minutes from Turtle Rock Trail. With a car, you’ll find anything you could ever want within a 20-minute drive – shopping, hiking, the beach, you name it!

Floor plan

Unlike other Verano Towers units, this unit is located conveniently on the ground floor of the building with its own external front door – no need to go in through the main entrance or lobby to reach the unit! Because of this, the unit’s floor plan differs from that which you see on the Verano Towers website; see instead the altered floor plan diagram attached in this ad. The front door’s new location allows for much more dining and living space!

Fully furnished*

This unit comes fully-furnished, featuring a comfortable couch, sizable TV, bookshelves, a dresser, a very soft and comfortable full-size bed, and more. We do a lot of cooking, so you’ll find plenty of cookware, small appliances, and gadgets at your disposal! We also have games and books that you are welcome to share and enjoy.

Since we are a couple, we have one room furnished as a bedroom and one room furnished as an office. Right now, if you’re interesting in subletting just room as opposed to the whole unit, both rooms are available; you may choose which room you prefer. If you choose the office, we can move a desk and bookshelf out to a storage unit such that a twin bed will fit; however, you will need to bring your own twin bed/air mattress. However, you will have a spacious, ergonomic corner desk and chair, with extra monitors!

Parking & bike storage

This unit comes with FREE PARKING for ONE car. There is plenty of parking just outside the unit in both uncovered spots and in a parking garage. There are plenty of nearby ChargePoint chargers for electric and hybrid vehicles.
We have two bike racks hung up in the unit – no need to store your precious bikes unsafely outside!

Pets

Pets are prohibited in the unit in most situations. Properly trained animals providing assistance to a person with disabilities are OK. These animals must be registered with the UCI Disability Services Center and the housing office before the sublease can be approved.

Flexible check-in and check-out dates

You can choose what check-in and check-out dates are right for you within the ranges listed above. We will only ask you to pay rent for the days you are in the building.

Eligibility requirements

Because this unit is located in UCI’s on-campus graduate and family housing, sub-tenants must be affiliated with UCI (not UCI extension). This means we can only sublease to:
- UCI graduate students
- UCI medical students
- UCI professional students
- UCI law students
- UCI undergraduate students 25 years of age or older
- Any UCI student with a partner or child
- Junior or senior undergraduate students required to be on campus for summer classes
- Junior or senior undergraduate students in paid UCI positions during the summer
- Visiting scholars/researchers
- Postdoctoral scholars

Visiting scholars/researchers and postdoctoral scholars will need to provide proof-of-hire dates. Photo ID must be provided for all sub-tenants. Sub-tenants must be 18 or older.
